I knew that after breaking five ribs in my Giro crash, racing Nationals was always going to be a long shot. But you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, so I wanted to give it a try anyway.
Unfortunately, the pain got the best of me and I had to pull out of the road race.
No regrets though. The biggest highlight was getting to spend quality time with my loved ones.
Time to freshen up for a big end of the season
