Story time : For some school is easier than others. For me, school was always hard. I always had to work hard to have average results. When I became a full time athlete at 19 years old I was half way through my program. I moved to Ontario and it got even harder. My focus and motivation shifted to my sport. I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep going with my studies but my parents encouraged me to do so.
I continued, but very slowly. I was doing one sometimes two courses a year, with the goal to one day finish. Finally, almost 10 years later, I have THE piece of paper.
For some it doesn’t mean much but for me it almost means more than a bike races.
Don’t give up kids!
