Not the post I would have liked to do today. At this time of year, normally, I’m in top form and preparing for the biggest race of the year. CX World Champs is always one of my favorite days of the year. Unfortunately, I won’t be participating this year as I made the tough decision to end my season now.
To say I’m sad and disappointed is un understatement. Unfortunately, I have been sick many times over the last few weeks (which already has prevented me from racing since mid December). I shifted my focus to prepare and try to perform at the end of the season, with a focus on Worlds. Unfortunately, my body is simply not recovering from the various viruses and illnesses. The more I try, the worse my condition.
So I’ve made the tough call to call it a season and focus on health and recovery. I am waiting for some tests to understand what is going on. I’m already looking forward to planning more adventures on the bike, but first, I need to get healthy.
I want to thank my sponsors and family for the support! Good luck to all my cx friends for the remainder of the season, I’ll be cheering
