A bit of a behind the scenes

It was the first race of our European campaign today at the X2O Trofee in Kortrijk. We flew back and forth to Europe unexpectedly 2x in the last 10 days, so this weekend, our goal was just to use these races to get settled.

Happy to report it went well! We got good parking without having to fight for it, fans were really nice - one even picked up my jacket on the start line - and mechanics from other Belgian teams helped David Gagnon in the muddy pits! It actually was really nice to be back in this scene and see familiar faces - thanks for the nice welcome people! Fun fact: in Belgium, there are often no actual "parking lots" for races. For example, today, everyone was parked in a street, basically directly AT someone’s house - it shows how much people are fans of the sport to allow this!

About the race : my legs felt a bit sleepy, but it still went well enough and I got 8th. Hopefully, today’s race will have helped both my mud skills and legs to wake up for tomorrow’s World Cup in Besançon.
