Making the decision to keep going despite the pain was not the brightest call I’ve made this year

« Very gutted about having to leave Le Tour Cycliste Fèminin International de l’Ardèche early. In a crash, two days ago, I injured my psoas quite badly and making the decision to keep going despite the pain was not the brightest call I’ve made this year.

I was so angry at myself for all the bad luck that came my way during the race, mechanicals/wasp bite/crash... what more you ask?

Anyway I hate leaving a race feeling like I carry with me 100 excuses and this very much feels like it! I wish I could say I just didn’t have the level but it wasn’t the case although I did panic mentally and lost focus and perhaps this was the biggest mistake/reason of it all!

I’m happy to finally travel back home and have some time to reset, heal up and look forward to the next race »
