« Today more then ever we miss cycling’s ambulating circus.

With all it’s tents and cars and kiosks, with the physiological weirdos and the animal masters/ directors, The showman and women and the crowds, the smoke, the grill foods, the fries, the beers. The dirt and the sweats. The existing trills of athletes performing with no net, throwing themselves at the feat fearless, furious. And we miss the celebration, the crowning of the Lion King! Today all of cycling will miss Ronde van Vlaanderen or at least for now we hope.

I was looking forward to start my first time there, after years of racing in Belgium. And did all of its races, Flanders line up call had yet to come !

We share quite a special feeling for this one in the house, we’ll be waiting patiently for the season to kick off again.

Everyone stay strong, especially those affected by COVID-19. All my friends and teammates confined, I can only share you my admiration!

Now most of Europe knows how it is like to train for world tour races in the « normal » Canadian winter time !
