My name is Riley and I am 8. I saw Phillipe dive a few years ago in Victoria and I was hoping to see him dive in Vancouver at the Senior nationals. I hope your leg gets better and you can dive again soon. My coaches tell me you are really tough and once did some dives with a broken hand. this makes me think you will be okay if you give yourself the time needed. I broke my arm once and it took two months to get better. Maybe that is how much time you need to fix your leg. Get better soon.
From Riley in Victoria
Phillippe, how frustrated you must be! My 14 year old daughter had a similar experience this past summer when she hurt her ankle in a soccer tournament two days before we left for Ottawa for the Canadian Highland Dancing Championships. Once in Ottawa we discovered she had a fracture so that put an end to any hope of dancing in the event. Needless to say she was disappointed! The good thing is that breaks usually heal better than other injuries and you're still young, so there will be plenty of other opportunities for you. All the best - speedy healing !
Heather Turner, Senior National Official (Regina)
Wishing you a speedy recovery. I thought I had to worry about my crazy ski jumpers not my divers!!! Take care!

Phillipe, I was very sorry to hear about your accident in Sheffield. I could not be at the meet myself, because injuries have hampered my progress. I was really looking forward to competing with you at Canada Cup in May. . . . perhaps you will be better by then. You are a very strong competitor, so I know that you will make a speedy recovery. I hope you feel better soon. Good Luck.
Mike Goldfarb (Team Ireland)

Hi Philipe, Not a day goes by where I don't think about you. We are all pulling for you. Make your decisions according to whatever is best for you in the long term. If you are looking for inspiration you can think of rower Silken Laumen. A couple months before the '92 Olympics, another boat ran into hers and tore her leg apart. She was told she would be lucky to walk again before the Olympics, competing in them was out of the question. With a great deal of faith, determination and hard work, she did compete in the Games and even won a bronze. When wishing someone good luck, there's an english expression which you've probably heard - "break a leg." I guess we won't be wishing you good luck that way! Our thoughts are with you. Bonne chance.
Hi Philippe, I'm very sorry to have heard the terrible news. On my behalf, the Henderson family and the Nepean Ottawa Diving club, I want you to know that we are praying for a fast recovery and wish the best for you and your family....Take care Philippe,
