«Had a first glimpse of sunlight through the rainy finish of today with a 8th place. The team rode so well all day to put me in a good place for a strong result. Happy I bridged to the winning selection, unfortunately the effort it took me triggered some bad asthma and hyperventilation, I couldn’t catch my breath. Despite the disappointment of getting detached from the front group, I gave everything I possibly could to hold off the bunch and secure a nice position for my teammates. »
