Un nouveau gadget digne de Star Wars vient de faire son apparition : le clavier laser virtuel.

Cet accessoire électronique utilise un rayon laser pour projeter l'image d'un clavier grandeur nature sur une surface plane. Le miracle de ce clavier intangible, c'est qu'il fonctionne exactement comme un clavier de type classique. Chaque fois qu'on appuie sur une touche lumineuse, un rayon infrarouge reconnaît le mouvement de pression et relaie l'information à un ordinateur. L'appareil simule même le bruit typique des «clic» du clavier traditionnel.

Vendu près de 200 dollars dans Internet, le clavier virtuel peut aussi suppléer les minuscules claviers des assistants numériques personnels et téléphones cellulaires.
