Wonderful week spent at Bon Echo Provincial Park with the boys. It is really a beautiful park.
Learned however the hard way that park is a wind tunnel. Went on my paddleboard, was paddling in nature fully enjoying the scenery, I loved it. Then I tried to turn around to return to the beach and... I couldn't !
I was paddling as hard as I could, I was stuck. Couldn't win against that wind.
I drifted to the shore and was super lucky. I landed to a cottage where the owner was outside. I asked for help and he kindly agreed to get me back to the beach with his boat.
The whole thing was a bit scary but somehow I knew things would turn out OK. It is a popular park and I knew at some point I would bump into someone.
We loved our vacation, but I don't think I'm ready to go back on a paddleboat anytime soon!
